Haiti Earthquake Appeal
Posted March 7, 2011
Since an earthquake devastated Port au Prince and the surrounding area on 12 January 2010, funds raised by the DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal have helped 1.2 million survivors. Conditions for many remain very difficult but DEC's Member Agencies have provided lifesaving help including:
- Emergency shelter for 280,000 people.
- Safe water for 372,000 people.
- Health consultations for 186,000 people.
Please continue to support this, and other, work that the Disasters Emergency Committee makes possible.
The DEC represents 13 charities, many of which have bases around the world:
Donate to DEC to support all of the above charities.

It is the facts and figures of who and how people are helped by fundraising that get people motivated into action, fundraising can be fun and a challenging adventure I know.
